Don't Lose Hope Mental Health Charity Opens In Bourne
A brand new well being and mental health centre has invited it's very first guests to the building as part of a special opening evening.
Don’t Lose Hope Bourne, has taken over the old Natwest Bank site on North Street, Bourne and held the open evening on April 25 for people to take a look at the refurbished building and hear more about the mental health services that will be on offer.
Seven qualified counsellors will work from the centre on weekdays, offering around 60 hours of therapy sessions. The charity were initially looking to provide support to children and young people with mental health difficulties but have now extended their help to any age needing help.
People receiving a range on benefits including free school meals, income support or jobseekers allowance will qualify for eight free sessions.
Prices for further sessions, or for those not receiving benefits, will vary depending on household income, but the aim is to keep them affordable so no one misses out on the help they need.
A volunteer-run café will be open in the same premises for six days a week to boost income and provide a base for an informal listening service. Serviving some amazing cakes ad just somewhere to stop and chat, this is sure to be a week used and much appreciated service.
All of us here at It's Funtime Bourne would like to with the guys at Don't Lose Hope Charity all the best and wish them every success with their venture.
